NPSLInsider was founded in 2009 to fufill a need for blogging the day-to-day happenings in the National Premier Soccer League, the highest level of amateur soccer that exists in the United States.
The world is moving away from newsprint and into the internet more and more. Blogs, twitter, facebook, all of these social networking/media sites are important in growing the National Premier Soccer League brand and to connect with you, the readership.
We at the NPSL recognize this trend and are will utilize NPSLInsider to keep fans up-to-date on the latest happenings in the NPSL. Whether it be a new signing at a club, an in-depth interview, or simply a link-out to another news source, we are here to provide you with a closer look into our league, and how we are constantly growing and expanding.

Who maintains the site?

Ryan Knapp is the National Premier Soccer League’s Director of Public Relations.
During his college years , he moved to Sevilla, Spain to study at the Universidad de Sevilla, where he fell in love with the Spanish lifestyle, Spanish soccer, and all things Sevilla FC.
After graduating in 2005 with a double BA in Spanish and Linguistics, he took a job from September 2006-July 2007 in Villacañas, Spain where he was a resident headmaster at We Speak English, an English language academy.
Upon moving back to the US, Ryan worked as Director of Media Relations for Queen City Football Club in his hometown of Buffalo, New York, until June 2008 he was promoted to President and General Manager of the club. He stayed with Queen City Football Club until October, when he became Football Operations Officer for newly formed NPSL club Buffalo City FC and then made the leap into the league’s front office in March, 2009.
Ryan has extensive experience in the soccer journalism world. He is the founder of Center Holds It, a multi-pundit soccer website which was purchased by BigSoccer in 2008. He also has written extensively for The Offside, World Cup Blog and La Liga Talk in various capacities. He also volunteers as a translator for Sevilla FC’s official club website, as well as working for Agoge Sports as Director of USA Players.
He recently finished his Masters Degree in Sociolinguistcs/Language Planning and Policy in May 2009 from University at Buffalo. He is fluent in Spanish and English and is currently taking classes in Polish, Portuguese, French and Japanese.
When he is not up blogging at 3am, he is busy preparing for his wedding in October with his fiancee Renae, and loves spending time outside hiking and playing/agility training with his Shetland Sheepdog, Ella.
Ryan remains active in coaching various teams in the Buffalo, NY area and still plays with his local club side, BSC International.
